Scholarship Description: We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic young scientists to join our research team on a three-year project investigating the effects of agricultural intensification on aphid-parasitoid food webs. A molecular approach will be used to examine how changes in plant fertilisation and landscape complexity affect food webs and how this impacts biological control of cereal aphids. This PhD-project will be part of the D-A-CH programme project “Effect of agricultural intensification on cereal aphid-primary parasitoid-hyperparasitoid food web structure and interactions”, collaboratively run between the University of Innsbruck (Institute of Ecology) and the University of Göttingen (Department of Crop Sciences, Agroecology). The project is jointly funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the German Research Foundation (DFG).
