HORNBY SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM AT A UK UNIVERSITY 2011

We would like expressions of interest for the 2011 Hornby Scholarships Program. This program provides a full scholarship for an English language teaching professional to study for a Master’s degree at a UK University. Interested participants should submit a full CV, and answer the following two questions:



1) Please describe your current English teaching duties and responsibilities. Please describe any teacher training you have delivered, and explain whether this was part of PRESET or INSET programmes or both. (Approximately 250 words total.).

2) Please state in not more than 1,000 words (approx 250 words total):

•  why you wish to study for an ELT Masters in the UK
•   what professional experience, skill and interests you would bring to your studies
•   how you think you would benefit in terms of career and personal development fromobtaining this qualification once you have returned to your home country, and
•  what benefit will your training bring to your place of employment.
